What’s grander than the Grand Canyon?

I remember when I was a young kid living in Manila, Philippines, I would see this beautiful landscape as the wallpaper in our desktop. I’ve always wondered where it was. I knew it was real. But in the back of my mind I’ve always questioned, could something like this really exist? Fast forward to last year…my questions have finally been answered. It is real! So real that it’s only less than 5 hours away from my home! The first time I set foot into the walkway leading  ...

Rustic Hotel in Brian Head

The Grand Lodge is a beautiful hotel located in the small ski resort town of Brian Head, Utah. Right when you enter the premises, the lobby is adorned with rustic touches. They have actually been doing it for quite sometime now. It’s sad that we just found out about it because two years ago they had a pretty impressive lineup: Goo Goo Dolls, One Republic, Better Than Ezra, Matt Nathanson, Plain White T’s, Walk off the Earth and  ...

A Roadtripper’s Guide to Mount Rushmore

I enjoy traveling to places that are rich in history. Here in the US, there is no shortage of such places. One of it’s popular landmarks can be found in the Black Hills of South Dakota. Mount Rushmore, a shrine dedicated to four of America’s great Presidents was created to commemorate the “foundation, preservation and continental expansion of the United States.” A masterpiece so colossal that you can even see it in the parking lot! I didn’t think I would enjoy  ...
